We had 10 members at our February meeting. President Bob Delaney shared contest info from Paul Hanson on Soonercon and the Region V Convention in Protage, Indiana.
Bob Gerhardt brought in two Airfix 1:72 Canberra kits: a B(I)8 and a PR9. They retail for about $20 each adn he said they are very nice. Gerhardt added that Hasegawa and its US wholesaler Dragon Models are in a dispute over pricing that may mean that Hasegawa kits won't be available in this country for some time.
Jason Miller brought in two Revell/Monogram Snap-Tite Star Wars models he finished: a Republic Gunship and a ATRT with figure. He said both are pre-painted and very nice to assemble.
Bob Gerhardt inquired whether the Thornhill Library has DVD players we could borrow for screening DVDs at our chapter meetings; they do not,but they have screens the chapter could borrow. Gerhardt has a few modeling how-to videos he wanted to show at upcoming meetings. He also said that ongoing work at the Kirkwood Library means any talk of our doing a Make & Take with them is moot at this point.
Del Miller mentioned about his upcoming move from Granite City, IL to Sappington, MO. He'll be retiring from his full-time pastor position in Granite City, but will be able to do part-time pastoral work.
